Day 01 of IND vs NZ 1st Test has been Called off Due to Persistent Rain

IND vs NZ 1st Test: The rain proved spoilsport as day 01 of the first test on the New Zealand tour of India 2024 has been called off due to persistent rain at Bengaluru.

With the toss expected to be held at 09:00 AM IST, Rain at Bengaluru has been pouring down heavily. The weather predictions look very bad until Sunday for the 1st Test match.

The rain eased at 10:00 AM IST but was drizzling and the grounds were covered. After the lunch, Rain continued to pour. The pitch conditions were not a problem due to the sub-air system can remove 10000 litres per minute.

But Rain continued to pour down at Chinnaswamy due to which the day was called off at 02:30 PM IST. After the stumps, the umpires provided an update on the revised session timings for Day 02.

    Revised Session Timings, Day 2
Morning session: 9:15 AM -11:30 AM IST
Afternoon session: 12:10 PM – 02:25 PM IST
Evening session: 02:45 PM – 04:45 PM IST
