The legendary South African quick Dale Steyn has predicted that Marco Jansen will fetch as much as INR 10 crore in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction after his impressive performance during the 3rd T20I match of the India tour of South Africa 2024.
Although his sensational performance at Supersport couldn’t secure victory against men in blues, his half century put a pressure on Indian bowlers.
Jansen’s late assault saw him 50 in only 16 balls which included 4 fours and 5 sixes and also got the fastest ever fifty vs India in T20I history. He also picked the wicket of Sanju Samson for a duck in the second ball of the match.
Reacting to Marco Jansen’s knock, South Africa legend made a massive prediction for his countryman.
Taking to X, he wrote, “Marco Jansen A 10 crore player? I’d say so.”

The South African bowling all-rounder was released by SRH ahead of IPL 2025 and will be entering the IPL auction pool on November 24 and 25.
The ongoing T20I series will be like an audition for players. Those who put up a performance will attract higher bids in the auction.
India also showed a strong batting form in their innings. Tilak Varma smashed an unbeaten 107* off 56 deliveries as the side scored 219 runs in 20 overs. Meanwhile Abhishek Sharma also got a half century.
Tilak Varma was named as the player of the match. While speaking after the match, he said, “I am okay. It was a difficult chance but I am happy we won the game. I cannot put it in words.”

Marco Jansen will be getting another opportunity to showoff in the 4th match of the home series on November 15 at Wanderers Stadium.
