    CSK vs SRH 2024 Highlights; Deshpande’s Four Wicket Haul Powered Chennai’s Victory against Hyderabad

    CSK vs SRH 2024 highlights: Chennai Super Kings have registered their fifth victory of the IPL 2024 campaign during the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 28 at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium.

    Tushar Deshpande’s four-wicket haul and Ruturaj Gaikwad’s score of 98 runs have been the key reason for Chennai’s victory in the match.

    Coming to the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and chose to bowl. Batting first, Rahane and Ruturaj Gaikwad opened the innings where the former was dismissed by Bhuvneshwar in the 3rd over for 9 runs.

    After he walked to the dugout, Daryl Mitchell came to bat and joined hands with the CSK captain to score a 97-run partnership for the second wicket. Jaydev Unadkat sent out Daryl Mitchell for 52 runs in the 14th over, while Gaikwad went past 50 runs.

    Shivam Dube contributed his part by scoring 39 runs on 20 deliveries. T. Natarajan bagged the wicket of Gaikwad who was in pursuit of smashing a hundred in the match.

    He scored 98 runs on 54 deliveries, including 10 fours and three sixes. MS Dhoni came to bat on the last over, where he scored 5* runs on 02 deliveries. Finally, CSK scored 212 runs losing three wickets on 20 overs.

    With a target of 213 runs, Hyderabad started their innings where the bowling prowess of Tushar Deshpande entirely collapsed the top order. He dismissed openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma were sent back to the pavilion for 13 and 15 runs respectively and Anmolpreet Singh was sent out on a golden duck.

    SRH lost the first three wickets on the fourth over for 40 runs. Aiden Markram came to bat and smashed 32 runs while Nitish Reddy scored 15 runs.

    Matheesh Pathirana dismissed Markram and Klaasen who have been performing well in the tournament so far. With Shardul Thakur dismissing Abdul Samad, Tushar bagged Pat Cummins’s wicket and Hyderabad scored only 124 runs in the 18th over.

    Finally, Mustafizur bagged the last wicket of SRH’s batting line-up forcing Hyderabad to conclude their innings for 134 runs. Chennai Super Kings won the match by 78 runs difference in home away ground.
