The 30-year-old Chloe Tryon is set to feature in the South Africa Women’s T20I squad for the upcoming series against India starting on July 05.
Chloe Tryon Returns to South Africa Women’s Squad for India T20Is
The Proteas Women is currently playing on India tour where the hosts secured a dominating victory of 3-0 in the ODI series and also secured a victory in the One-Off Test. On this occasion, Cricket South Africa has named the squad for the T20Is with all-rounder Chloe Tryon to feature in the upcoming series.
The T20I series will be played at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium which serves as the important preparation ahead of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 in October.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) has today confirmed the Proteas Women’s 15-player squad for the upcoming T20 International (T20I) series against India, with all matches taking place at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from 05 – 09 July.

Dillon de Preez, Proteas Women Interim head coach said, “We’re excited with the 15-player squad that has been selected for the T20I series. We also have Chloe back in the team after recovering from an injury. She brings a lot of experience to the team and we can’t wait to see her back on the field.”
“We have our last three T20I matches against India. This will give us some time to look at one or two options before we go home and start our final preparation for the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh,” he added.
South Africa Women Convenor of Selectors, Clinton du Preez said, “In selecting the squad for the upcoming T20I series against India, we focused on maintaining consistency, keeping a largely similar group to build on our strengths and cohesion. This approach allows us to refine our strategies and enhance team dynamics, which are crucial as we prepare for the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh.”

South Africa has only three T20Is in hands before the T20 World Cup. With suffering back-to-back defeats on Indian soil, the Proteas women will look forward to a victory in T20Is.
South Africa Women will be playing in the inaugural match of the ICC tournament against England Women on October 03 at Sher-e-Bangla.
