Champions Trophy 2025 Schedule: The ninth edition of the Champions Trophy will be played between 19 February and 9 March 2025. Pakistan was announced as the host for the Champions Trophy 2025 on 16 November 2021.
Initially, the Pakistan Cricket Board planned to host the entire tournament in Pakistan itself but after BCCI refused to send their players to Pakistan, PCB was forced to host the India matches in a neutral venue. PCB later announced the UAE as the neutral venue.
The defending champions Pakistan will play the first match of the tournament against New Zealand on February 19 in Karachi.
Champions Trophy 2025 Schedule
The Champions Trophy 2025 will be contested by the top eight ranked men’s national teams qualified from the 2023 Cricket World Cup. The eight participating teams will be divided into two groups of four teams where a total of 15 matches will be played.
Group A – Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, New Zealand
Group B – Afghanistan, South Africa, Australia, England
The tournament will follow Round Robin and Knockout format where the top two teams of the respective groups will advance to the knockout stage.
The final of the Champions Trophy 2025 will be played on 9 March 2025 in Lahore but if India qualified for the finals then the match will be played in UAE.
