Chahal’s father was an Advocate while his mother remains as the housewife. Till the source of COVID19 spread to the family has not yet revealed. Yuzvendra Chahal got engaged to Dhanashree Verma, a YouTuber, choreographer, and dentist on 8 August 2020 and married her on 22 December 2020 in Gurgaon in a private ceremony.
Yuzvendra Chahal stats starts to fall
With over 150 wickets for the national team in 102 matches, the 30-year-old has turned out to be a genuine wicket-taker for his side. He took the most wickets (23) in T20Is in 2017 by any bowler.
For his performances in 2015 and 2016, he was named in the Cricinfo IPL XI for the season. He was also named in the Cricbuzz XI for 2016 and 2017.
However, of late, he has looked a tad out of sorts. In the T20I series against England earlier this year, he got three wickets but gave over 40 runs in two out of three games.
He did not feature in any of the three ODIs. Chahal also struggled in the IPL 2021 season, picking only 4 wickets in 8 games for RCB before the IPL 2021 was suspended.
Former India cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan believes that Kuldeep and Chahal may have been found out.
“Nothing really pained me more than witnessing the fall of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. The duo was very successful in the early part of their career. Batsmen were not aware of what they were bowling but now they have been found out,” Laxman Sivaramakrishnan wrote in a column on cricket.com.
