Dwayne Bravo will never fail to entertain the cricket fans on the field during the matches that too particularly when bowling. Bravo use to have friendly banter with the batters and shows some of his dance skills after picking wickets which never turned into a talkative point of the match.
Bravo Reveals the Conversation With MS Dhoni
Bravo and MS Dhoni have been friends for a long time and it is the IPL and the yellow that has united them every year. Bravo joined Chennai Super Kings in 2011 and continued to be a part of the yellow franchise till date.
On Sunday, during the CSK vs DC match, Bravo walked into bat in the final over with Anrich Nortje on a hat-trick. With Nortje on a hat-trick, Bravo says the plan was to give Dhoni the strike.
Bravo admitted that he was worried about his hamstring because of the way Dhoni was pushing him for twos. He also admitted that he asked Dhoni to deal in boundaries. But CSK captain pushed Bravo to run between wickets in the last two balls.
“Well, for me it was a hat-trick ball. I wanted to make sure I get him on strike. I told him to hit boundaries, not push me for twos,” Bravo told the official broadcasters.
“I told him after the innings ‘MS, 3 balls to again (if such a situation comes again), let someone else go and run because I have to protect my hamstring’.
“But if felt good to be batting with a great. I thought it was a great professional team display, it started with Rutu and Conway. The way they set up the game with their batting (Was good) and then we finished off with the ball as well. Every game we play, we have to play like professionals and look to dominate,” he added.
With Moeen Ali’s impressive triple wicket, Chennai Super Kings won the match by 91 runs and a movement in the IPL 2022 points table with a positive NRR.
In the 9 matches he featured, Bravo bagged 16 wickets with an economy of 8.75. Notably, in CPL 2020 league match against St Lucia Zouks, Bravo becomes the first cricketer to reach 500 T20 wickets.
