India is set to face five times champion Australia in the finals of the 2023 edition. They have been running an unbeaten streak by winning 10 matches in a row. On the other hand, Australia reached the finals by defeating South Africa in the semifinals.

On this occasion, BCCI president Roger Binny hopes India will win the match and obtain their third World Cup title. Despite his confidence on the side, he also gives advice not to take lightly on the five times champions Australia.

“India has played very good cricket so far. We have won all the matches which is a record in World Cup cricket. I think India has done very well but it is going to be a good game. You cannot take Australia lightly. They are a good side. They have won five World Cups. So, hopefully, India will come tomorrow on top,” said Binny to media at Ahmedabad.

Speaking on the pre match conference, the skipper Rohit Sharma made it clear for his side about their victory in the finals.

He wants to win the title for the head coach Rahul Dravid. Rohit made tribute for his coach during the eve of the World Cup final. “what he has done for Indian cricket is massive. And he also feels that he wants to be part of this big occasion. And it’s for us to do it for him.”

The finals of the ICC ODI Men’s World Cup 2023 will kickstart on 02:00 PM IST on November 19 at Narendra Modi Stadium.
