BCCI Office Bearers Salary Allowance Hiked: BCCI made an allowance hike for the board’s President, Secretary, Vice President, Treasurer and Joint secretary, a report says.
According to a BCCI document, the office bearers which includes the president, secretary, and joint-secretary among others, will be entitled to a humongous sum of INR 40,000 per day for meetings within the nation and business class travel.
BCCI Allowance Hike
A BCCI office bearer’s post is regarded as an honorary one and employees like the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will get a daily allowance of USD 650 on foreign trips and INR 15,000 per day within India. Earlier, BCCI officials used to get USD 750 per day on foreign tours.
Changes have been made in the daily allowance after more than 7 years. The allowances of the IPL chairman have also been included in the brackets of the office-bearers’ category.
The hike in allowances for the BCCI office bearers was proposed at the Apex Council meeting on Sunday, April 9, although it will come into effect in October.
The office holder of the BCCI will have an allowance of USD 1,000 along with business-class travel for an abroad trip. As per the new payment, the members will now receive the following allowance:
