Indian Women’s Squad for Bangladesh Series: The BCCI has announced the Indian women’s squad for the Bangladesh series as the Indian women’s team is scheduled to tour Bangladesh to play three T20Is and ODIs which starts on July 9, 2023.

Indian Women’s Squad for Bangladesh Series: As the Tournament is near, BCCI announced the Indian Women’s squad for three T20Is and three ODIs on Sunday. The Indian Women’s team is having six encounters against Bangladesh women’s team will be held at the Sher-e Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

But the senior players like Shikha Pandey, Renuka Singh Thakur and batting Richa Ghosh were the big ones who are absent in the squad for three T20Is and Three ODIs. Radha Yadav and Rajeshwari Gayawad are the other players missing from the squads for the Bangladesh tour.

There are several newcomers like Uma Chetry, Rashi Kanojiya, Anusha Bareddy, and Minnu Mani who have been listed in the squad. The Series begins with three T20Is, followed by Three ODIs.

Players Omitted For the Bangladesh Tour

India Women’s team left out many senior players like Renuka Singh, Richa Ghost, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, and Shikha Pandey as they named their ODI and T20I squad for Bangladesh Tour.

As Richa is absent, Uma Chetry had received a call-up for both series. Left-arm spinners Anusha Bareddy and Rashi Kanojiya earned maiden call-ups and were included in both squads. Kerala all-rounder Minnu Mani was picked only for the T20I series.

Another notable player Radha Yadav was omitted from the tour itself as she couldn’t find a place in any of the series. Right-Handed Priya Punia and fast bowler Monica Patel made a comeback to the national team.

Meghana and Meghna Singh have been included in the main squad. Players in both squads attended a camp at the National Cricket Academy. India Women are yet alive without a Coach after Ramesh Powar was sacked from the position. Hrishikesh Kanitkar has been temporarily in charge of the Indian team since Powar left.

Women’s India vs Bangladesh 2023 schedule
