Uncapped Wicketkeeper Farzana Haque Lisa has been added to Bangladesh Women’s squad for a three-match ODI series against Australia.
Bangladesh Women’s squad for Australia ODIs
Fifteen-year-old Nishita Akter Nishi who played two ODIs against Pakistan has been included in the squad for the upcoming home tour against Australia.
Shamima Sultana, a Wicketkeeper has been excluded from the squad. Lata Mondal and Shorifa Khatun who had been part of Bangladesh’s squad during their tour to South Africa, have been listed as standby players, along with Fariha Trisna.
All three ODIs are day games, to be played at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. They will be playing in the ICC Women’s Championship where Australia tops the table while Bangladesh is placed in seventh place with four wins.
Bangladesh have had wins against India, Pakistan, and South Africa in their last three ODI series. Bangladesh has never hosted Australia until now.
Recently CA announced their Australia women’s squad in February where Taylor Vlaeminck has been recalled to the squad.
Bangladesh and Australia women will be playing the first match of the ODI series on March 21 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
