BANW vs WIW Playing 11: Nigar Sultana-led Bangladesh is scheduled to play in the 13th match of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 against Hayley Matthews-led West Indies on October 10 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
With both teams having a victory out of two games in the tournament, both sides will be opting for a victory in the upcoming clash. Bangladesh stands fourth with a lower run rate while West Indies stands third with a higher run rate in the Group B points table.
West Indies women won the toss and opted to bowl. While speaking at the toss, Nigar Sultana said, “We wanted to bat first, so pretty happy. We have played two games here. We really want to focus on our strengths and we had a good practice session. We have been struggling with our batting. We have the experience to play on this surface.”
Meanwhile West Indies captain Hayley Matthews, “We are going to bowl first. Did pretty well against Scotland. We have seen the wickets keeping low but it’s a fresh wicket today. Hopefully, I can get a few out in the middle today. Mandy Mangru is making her debut today.”
