Bangladesh Squad for Asia Cup 2023: Ahead of the Asia Cup 2023 start, Bangladesh Cricket Board have announced their 17-member squad for the tournament.
The 16th edition of the Asia Cup tournament is scheduled to play between August – September and will be jointly hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Asia Cup 2023 will also be the first of its kind to be co-hosted by multiple countries.
Bangladesh Squad for Asia Cup 2023
Four matches of the Asia Cup 2023 will be played in Pakistan while the remaining nine matches of the tournament will be played in Sri Lanka. Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board announced an 18-member squad for the upcoming Afghanistan ODIs and Asia Cup 2023 series under Babar Azam.
Young batter Shamim Patowary, who represents Bangladesh in T20Is, received his maiden call-up to the ODI squad which also saw the return of Mahedi Hasan, who last played against New Zealand at Wellington in 2021.
