“The Bangladesh A Team’s departure for Pakistan has been delayed by at least 48 hours due to unavailable circumstances. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is in constant communication with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding the A Team’s tour,” said a BCB statement.

Mushfiqur Rahim and Mominul Haque, along with Shahadat Hossain, Zakir Hasan, Mahmudul Hasan, Nayeem Hasan, and Hasan Mahmud are part of the Bangladesh A team for the first four-day match against Pakistan to prepare for the two-match test series. BCB officials also stated about starting preparations for the upcoming Pakistan tour which was hampered due to the Country’s political issues. On Monday, The Bangladesh Army has announced the formation of Interim government after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled away from the country in the afternoon.

“We will see the situation for the next two days and later take a decision on our next course of action as far preparation of the national team for the Pakistan tour is concerned,”  told BCB official.

The BCB president Nazmul Hasan who is a member of the parliament from Awami League and the sports minister of the country, has also left the country. BCB has not yet decided as several board directors have backed the government which currently left the country to be in a safe place.

Former National skipper Mashrafe Mortaza’s house was vandalized and put on fire after the Awami League after his party chief Sheikh Hasina left the country. Mashrafe has been a Member of the Parliament from Narail under the Awami League.
