The Pakistani star Babar Azam is only 74 runs away from achieving 10000 runs in T20s and is set to reach the milestone in the upcoming PSL 2024 league.
Babar Azam awaits 10K runs in T20s
Babar Azam who plays for Peshawar Zalmi is set to play their first match against Quetta Gladiators in the PSL 2024 schedule and is set to reach his 10000 runs in the T20 format.
Babar Azam will be one of the 12 batters if he smashes 10K runs. Chris Gayle, Shoaib Malik, Kieron Pollard, Alex Hales, David Warner, Virat Kohli, Aaron Finch, Rohit Sharma, Josh Buttler, Colin Munro, James Vince and David Miller are the players who smashed 10K runs in the T20 format.
He is also near another match landmark as he is only 65 runs away from scoring 3000 runs in the PSL tournament. He will be the first batter in history to reach the milestone.
Meanwhile, Quetta Gladiators has named Rile Rossouw as the captain after Sarfaraz Khan was removed from captaincy.
Babar Azam who plays for Rangpur Riders in The BPL 2024 league has made his exit as the leading run-scorer at the time of his withdrawal. He had played only 9 matches in the tournament as he had NOC until February 06.
He amassed 251 runs with an impressive average of 50.2 and a strike rate of 114.61 which includes two half-centuries and a high score of 62.
The Star is currently preparing for the domestic home league. With the PSL 2024 set to begin on February 17, Peshawar Zalmi will be playing in the second match of the tournament on Feb 18.
The inaugural match of the PSL will be played between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United at Gaddafi Stadium.
