AUS vs IND 3rd Test: After rain played a spoilsport on day 01 of the third test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy, concerns have been raised about the weather conditions for the remaining days at Brisbane.
After India won the toss and elected to bowl first, the Australian batters Nathan McSweeney and Usman Khawaja scored 28 in 13.2 overs before rain interrupted the match.
As the rain continued to pour down, umpires called for lunch earlier than usual.
While day 01 of the Gabba Test got abandoned due to continuous rain day two would be dryer, as per weather reports, the chances of rain are more than 8% though extensive cloud cover is expected.
On Monday, day three of the third test, there is a 69% rain probability, with expected precipitation for 90 minutes. While the temperature would be around 28 degree celsius, rain interruptions are expected.
On the last two days of the Test (Tuesday and Wednesday), rain probability is around 84% and 56%, respectively.
Jasprit Bumrah did take some time to find the right line and length for surface while Siraj was being timely taken on by Usman Khwaja. At the time of rain interruption, Australia were at 28/0 in 13.2 overs with McSweeney (4*) and Usman Khawaja (19*) at the crease.
Akash Deep one of the two changes in the Indian Xl for the test at the start of his spell but troubled McSweeney with outgoing deliveries.
