The Asia Cup 2023 is set to begin on August 30, 2023, hosted by Sri Lanka and Pakistan. With the preparations for the tournament going on the side, Pakistan Cricket Board announced the members for the Asia Cup 2023 commentary panel on August 19, 2023.

The Asia Cup is scheduled to begin with the inaugural match between Pakistan and Nepal in Multan. With only less than 15 days before the tournament, the Pakistani board made a group of commentators from various nations.
The tournament is set to feature a group of season commentators. It is to be known that former Chairman of PCB Ramiz Raja is not part of the commentary panel. Pakistan selected their representatives Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis for the panel.
The commentary panel also includes neutral cricket analysts from other countries also. The panel includes former India coach Ravi Shastri, Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh, Sanjay Manjrekar, Andy Flower, and Matthew Hayden are named as prominent commentators.
Former Sri Lanka player Marvan Atapattu is also placed in the group, including famous players like Irfan Pathan, Sanjay Bangar Aamer Sohail, Piyush Chawla, Mohammed Kaif, and Bazid Khan.
The official commentator had posted on X, with a description of “From Champions in the field on-air! Our panel of cricketing legends, analytical experts and inimitable broadcasters are set to elevate the #AsiaCup 2023 action like never before.”

Asia Cup 2023
The Asia Cup features 13 matches out of which 4 are scheduled to play in Pakistan, while the other 9 matches are set to play in Sri Lanka. The tournament will be played between the five full members of the Asian Cricket Council. The 2023 ACC Men’s Premier Cup winner Nepal will join India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
The participating 6 teams will be categorized into 2 groups of three teams where the top 2 teams of the points table will advance to the super four round(of each group). The final of the tournament will be played between the top two teams of the Super 4 round.
