Ravichandran Ashwin who is well known for showing his temper during the match, once again becomes trendy for showing his rage towards his teammate in the ongoing TNPL 2024.
The incident took place in the TNPL 2024 Eliminator game played between Dindigul Dragons and Chepauk Super Gillies on July 31 in Dindigul. The intense game grabbed wide attention owing to its importance as the winner of the game will advance to Qualifier 2 while the loser will be eliminated.
During the game, a heated moment was caught by the broadcaster which saw the Dindigul Dragons skipper’s outrage on his teammate.
The event took place in the 17th over of the second inning which is also Dindigul Dragon’s chasing inning.
Ashwin who got dismissed for 57 in his team’s 150-plus run chase was seen unsettled in the dugout. After hitting a six off the previous delivery, Sarath Kumar attempted a low full-toss to clear the boundary which in turn went straight to deep midwicket but the fielder dropped a dolly.
This incident enranged Ashwin and in turn, he showed some unpleasant gestures towards the batters. After dropping Sarath Kumar, Abhishek Tanwar who bowled the 17th over dismissed Shivam Singh in the very next delivery for 64 runs and sent the well-settled batsman to the dugout.
Following this incident, the search for the “Ashwin TNPL fight” becomes quite intense. Notably, Ashwin got into a heated altercation during the TNPL 2016 season and had to be physically restrained by members of the opposing side in a fiery exchange.
