West Indies powerhouse Andre Russell becomes the fifth player to join the list of players to play 500 or more T20s. Russell achieved this enormous feat during the West Indies vs New Zealand T20 World Cup 2024 clash at Trinidad.
Andre Russell will be the fourth West Indies player to achieve this feat. Former West Indies cricketer Kieron Pollard leads the list with a whopping 660 appearances.
Dwayne Bravo stands next in the list with a total mark of 573 while Pakistan’s Shoaib Malik stands in the third spot with 542 appearances. Russell’s IPL teammate and former Windies player Sunil Narine holds the fourth spot with a tally of 513 match appearances.

In his 500th T20 appearance, Andre Russell failed to make an impressive performance. The Right-Handed Batter scored just 14 off 7 and got dismissed by Boult before making an impact.
In 500 T20s, Russell managed to score 8490 runs and bagged a whopping 452 wickets under his belt. His 8000 plus runs include 31 half centuries and 2 centuries. His 450 plus wickets also includes nine four-fer and one five wickets haul.
