The Indian dairy brand Amul has been roped in as the official sponsor of the Sri Lanka Cricket team for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
Along with Sri Lanka, Amul will also sponsor the South Africa as well as the USA cricket team in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The Sri Lankan cricket team has been placed in Group D alongside South Africa, Bangladesh, Netherlands and Nepal.
The Sri Lankan cricket team will play their first match of the tournament against South Africa on June 3 in Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York.
“Amul’s partnership with Sri Lanka Cricket is an excellent move, as associating with an international sports brand is definitely going to help the firm gain market growth and further enhance its brand visibility among the international audience,” Ashley De Silva, CEO of SLC, was quoted as saying in an official release.
“Amul is a proven model for dairy development and is proud to associate with Sri Lanka also for the benefit of their small and marginal farmers. Amul has been associated with the Sri Lankan team most recently in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup, and we are proud to further strengthen our association with the Sri Lanka Cricket Team and wish them all the best for the T20 World Cup,” Jayen Mehta, the Managing Director of Amul, said.
With teams revealing their jersey and squad for the tournament, Sri Lanka is yet to reveal both.

As per the IPL 2024 schedule, a total of 70 league games, 2 Qualifiers, 1 Eliminator, and one Final will be played. All 10 participating teams will be divided into 5 teams of two groups where all teams will play 7 home and 7 away matches.
Among 10 teams playing in the IPL 2024 tournament, the top 4 teams in the IPL 2024 points table will be qualified to enter the IPL 2024 playoff rounds from which top teams will lock horns to play the IPL 2024 finals.
