Alana King suffers Bizarre Dismissal; No Ball SIX, Hit Wicket on same Ball

Bizzare scenes occured in the third and final ODI match of the South Africa Women’s tour of Australia 2024 as Alana King smashed a six and got out of the same delivery.

Alana King suffers Bizarre Dismissal

Australia batters first during the third ODI match where the incident occurred during the 48th over of the match when Masabata Klaas bowled a no-ball where King smashed six. She lost her balance during the attempt and hit the stumps with the bat.

Since the ball was above the waits, the umpire declared it as a no-ball and therefore she collected seven runs on a single ball.

CA posted a video of the incident on X and wrote, “Alana King manages to hit a six – and her wicket – off the same ball! It’s all happening!”

In the series, South Africa won the first ODI match while Australia leveled the series by clinching victory in the second ODI. Beth Mooney was the highest run scorer during the third match where she smashed 82 runs on 91 deliveries with 10 boundaries.

Beth Mooney was one of the retained players by Gujarat Giants during the WPL 2024 auction. On the other hand, UP Warriorz captain Alyssa Healy scored 60 runs in the match to help the side set a huge total.

With the ODI series completed, both sides will be facing each other in a One-Off Test after which the players who are involved in WPL 2024 will be joining the domestic leagues side.

As all the WPL 2024 squads have been filled in, all the teams will start preparations for the upcoming tournament.

WPL 2024 will be starting on February 23, with Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals playing the first match at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
