According to reports, Australian spinner Adam Zampa has decided to skip the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League who is set to play for Rajasthan Royals.
Adam Zampa Pulls out of IPL 2024
Adam Zampa told Rajasthan Royals about his pullout from IPL 2024. He said that it was due to eyeing workload management after the physical and mental strain he had gone through in the season.
After completing the ODI World Cup last year November, Zampa stayed in India to play in the T20I series against India where the hosts won the series.
He then played on the BBL 2023/24 campaign for Melbourn Renegades. Recently, he was part of the white-ball squad that played in the West Indies tour of Australia and the Australia tour of New Zealand in 2024.
With the T20 World Cup 2024 set to start by the start of June, the player decided to start preparations for the ICC tournament. The player’s decision has set Rajasthan with a major setback. He was picked by the squad for the IPL 2023 for INR 1.50 crores, where he played only 6 matches to pick 8 wickets.
He has played 20 matches in IPL tournament across seasons and bagged 29 wickets with returns of 6/19.
Coming to the tournament, all teams have started their preparations for the tournament and all Franchises will be looking for a triumph in the upcoming tournament.
All 10 teams will be playing with each other teams in the group stage matches and the top four teams will be qualifying for the playoffs.
The winner of the first qualifier match will be directly advanced to the finals while the qualifier one loser and Eliminator round winners will be playing in qualifier 2 which will decide the second finalist of the tournament.
Both teams will be playing in the final match of the tournament to determine the title winner of the IPL 2024.
