Young Indian batter Abishek Sharma secured his maiden T20I century during the 2nd T20I of India tour of Zimbabwe 2024 in Harare. Abishek secured his TON in a most memorable style by scoring his first international triple-digit score in just 46 deliveries.
Abhishek Sharma who handed his maiden cap during the 1st T20I of the tour failed to make an impact and returned for a duck in his international debut match. Abhishek was roped into the India squad for Zimbabwe following his impressive performance in the IPL 2024 season.
Playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Sharma scored 484 runs in 16 matches at a strike rate of 204.22, including three half-centuries. He also finished this year’s IPL with 42 sixes and was the second-highest run-scorer for SRH after Travis Head.
Abhishek scored his maiden international century in just 46 balls, including seven boundaries and 8 maximums at a strike rate of 212.77.
His century also makes him the quickest Indian to score a T20I century comparing the number of innings. Abhishek secured his maiden T20I century in his second appearance.
