Aakash Chopra believes that Shivam Dube has the opportunity to showcase an impressive display during the IPL 2024 season which will ensure his inclusion in India’s squad for the World Cup tournament.
Chopra’s opinion on the Dube’s recent forms in both T20I cricket and domestic cricket for Mumbai.
while speaking on his YouTube channel, Chopra explained that Dube’s abilities as an all-rounder and his form during India’s T20 series against Afghanistan might give him chances for T20 World Cup selection.
“In my opinion, it’s a huge opportunity for Shivam Dube as his name could come for the World Cup. He first scored runs for India in T20Is and then scored runs in the Ranji Trophy, and picked up wickets as well. So he has a big opportunity here,” Chopra said.
Dube has been impressive during the T20I series on Afghanistan’s tour of India 2024 which earned him the man of the series award.
He scored 124 runs across a three-match series which included a remarkable 60 off 40 balls in Mohali, followed by an unbeaten 62 off 32 balls innings in Indore.
