The second edition of the Major League Cricket (MLC) is scheduled to kick start on July 4 and will conclude by early August. The same 6 teams of the inaugural edition will feature in the second edition of the tournament.
Matches are set to return to Grand Prairie Stadium in Grand Prairie, TX and at additional venues to be named later.
MLC 2024 Retained Players For All Teams
Teams will now be able to sign up to a maximum of nine international players to their respective rosters and have until the end of February to settle on the retention of their domestic players from MLC season one.
The domestic player draft will then follow in March as teams build out their rosters for the coming season. Following are the details of the MLC 2024 Retained Players For All Teams:

Mumbai Indians’ franchise “MI New York” won the inaugural edition of the MLC by beating Seattle Orcas by 7 wickets. Though MI New York struggled to maintain a consistent during the tournament’s beginning stage made an aggressive comeback towards the end of the tournament.
In the first 5 games which is the league stage, MI New York managed to win only 2 games and entered the playoff with the advantage of the positive NRR.
On the other hand, their opponent in the final game – Seattle Orcas was the most successive team of the season where they won 4 out of 5 league games.
Seattle Orcas beat Texas Super Kings in Qualifier 1 and made a direct entry for the grand final while MI New York beat Washington Freedom in Eliminator and beat Texas Super Kings in the Challenger to enter the final game.
Nicholas Pooran who captained MI New York in the MLC 2023 final game scored an unbelievable 137 runs in just 55 deliveries and led the team towards a glorious victory.
