The incident happened during the second ODI of the West Indies tour of India 2013 played in Visakhapatnam. Batting first India made a slow start but later converted it into a decent scoring game.

Within a month after his heartbreaking 99 vs West Indies, Virat Kohli registered his first 90s dismissal in Test format in a match against South Africa in Johannesburg.

During the 1st Test of India tour of South Africa 2013, Virat Kohli scored 119 runs in the first inning and gave a strong start for the Indian cricket team which pushed them to score 280 runs in the first innings.
