The highest wicket taker in IPL history Yuzvendra Chahal has joined Punjab Kings for a price of INR 18 Crore at the IPL 2025 meg auction.
The leg spinner Chahal is the only player to cross 200 wickets tally in the tournament. The 33 year old spinner joined RR and in the last three seasons he picked 66 wickets.

Being played in various franchises like Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Rajasthan Royals has picked 205 wickets in 160 games at an economy of 7.84.
He also become the first bowler to reach 350 wicket in T20 Cricket proving his prowess in the T20 format.
In 113 IPL matches for RCB, he picked 139 wickets, but despite that he was not retained by the Bengaluru ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction.
He picked 18 wickets in 15 games during the IPL 2024 seasons, and his ability to deliver in high pressure scenarios remains unmatched.
