Sunrisers Hyderabad faces another massive blow as their ace all-rounder Vijay Shankar has been ruled out of IPL 2020 owing to an injury.

In the match against Delhi Capitals after bowling the fifth delivery of his second over Shankar has seen clutching his left hamstring. The injury seems pretty bad as he left the field after receiving a quick treatment from the physio. SRH skipper David Warner bowled the remaining deliveries of the over.
After losing the toss, SRH walks to the field to bat first, with an extraordinary opening partnership between Saha and Warner SRH scored 219 runs for 2 wicket loss. SRH registers the highest score in Dubai this season by surpassing the KXIP’s record of 206 runs against RCB.

In the post-match conversation SRH skipper, David Warner confirmed both the injuries by saying
“Unfortunately, he’s (Saha) got a little groin niggle but hopefully, it isn’t too bad. Shankar has a hamstring issue as well.”
Notably, Wriddhiman Saha ropes the Man of the match for the match after scoring 87 runs from 45 deliveries. Saha is also a member of the 32 member squad for the Australia tour. Cricket Australia releases the schedule for Australia vs India to play 3 ODI, 3 T20I, and four Test matches.

In the meanwhile, Saha made it out of the injury and is fit to play the remaining matches where Shankar isn’t. According to a report, Vijay Shankar will not take part in the remainder of IPL 2020.

The all-rounder was in good form with his bat after scoring a match-winning fifty against the Rajasthan Royals. Missing Vijay Shankar increases the number of SRH players to be ruled out of IPL 2020. Earlier Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mitchell Marsh ruled out of the tournament owing to the injury.

Vijay Shankar ruled out of the tournament after scoring 97 runs in seven games. He also picked up four wickets while having an economy rate of just 6.22.
