SRH vs CSK Probable Playing 11: Sunrisers Hyderabad will be hosting CSK after suffering two defeats in three matches they played in the IPL 2024 campaign. They won the match against Mumbai Indians by 31 runs but suffered defeat in the matches against Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans.
On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings won two out of the three matches they played in the campaign. They secured victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans but suffered defeat in the match against Delhi Capitals.
Both teams have clashed in IPL tournaments on 19 occasions so far where five times winner CSK won on 14 occasions while SRH won on 5 occasions.
“In terms of Mayank, in the first game, he gave us exactly what we wanted. In the last two games, he missed out but that’s the nature of batting. We want our batters to have the freedom to be able to be aggressive and play their style. For Mayank, it is around countering what the opposition brings. He’s obviously had three similar dismissals [off short balls], so that’s something that he’s working hard on to rectify.” said Daniel Vettori.
“One thing we want to improve is assessing the conditions slightly quicker than we did in the last match. It is important for players who start in the middle to assess the conditions quickly and send the messages back,” said Michael Hussey.
Currently, Chennai Super Kings secured the third position while Sunrisers Hyderabad secured 7th position in the IPL 2024 points table.
