Players Withdraw from IPL 2023: None of the players will dare to skip and lose the whopping amount they receive from the cash-rich Indian Premier League. But owing to some unavoidable reason some players will skip the tournament in the middle or even before the start of the tournament.
BCCI hosts IPL 2023 Auction for the teams to complete their squad for the season where England all-rounder Sam Curran becomes the Most Expensive Player in the auction after Punjab Kings signed for a whooping INR 18.50 crore.
On the other hand, Mumbai Indians crossed their previous high and brought Cameron Green for a whooping INR 17.50 crores which made him the second most expensive player of the IPL auction history.
The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League will be played in its regular “Home and Away” format. A total of 10 teams will participate in the event. As per IPL 2023 Schedule, the first match will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans on March 31.

Prasidh Krishna
Prasidh Krishna was retained by the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the IPL 2023 Auction. He was bought by the Rajasthan Royals for INR 10 Cr in the IPL 2022 Mega auction and was retained ahead of the next season.
REASON: Rajasthan Royals bowler Prasidh Krishna was ruled out of the upcoming IPL 2023 owing to an injury. Prasidh Krishna suffered a back injury last September that ruled him out of action for six months.
Kyle Jamieson
CSK roped Kyle Jamieson for INR 1 crore during the IPL 2023 Auction to fill their last overseas spot to complete the squad.
REASON: Kyle Jamieson was ruled out of the tournament as he planned to undergo a surgery which required a minimum of 4 months of recovery time.
Jhye Richardson
Australian pacer Jhye Richardson was roped in by Mumbai Indians at his base price of INR 1.50 crores.
REASON: The fast bowler is set to undergo surgery in an attempt to fix his hamstring issues. He was also ruled out of the ODI series in India. Jhye Richardson managed to play only 3 matches in the last season for Punjab Kings and bagged 3 wickets.
Will Jacks
Will Jacks was roped in by Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 3.20 crores in the IPL 2023 Auction. RCB might roped the England allrounder in a move to provide cover for Glenn Maxwell in their middle order.
REASON: Will Jacks sustained a muscle injury while fielding in England’s recent victory in their second ODI against Bangladesh in Mirpur. Jacks made his England debuts in all three international formats this winter, winning his T20I and Test caps in Pakistan before making his ODI debut in Bangladesh.
Shreyas Iyer
KKR Captain Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the upcoming IPL 2023 and World Test Championship 2021-23 final owing to a back injury. He was signed for Rs 12.25 crore in the mega auction that took place last year.
REASON: Shreyas Iyer is set to undergo surgery to treat his recurring lower back injury issue. After he was ruled out of the three-match ODI series against Australia due to a back injury, it was reported that he could miss the initial few matches of the IPL 2023, but now, as per a report, he will miss at least four to five months.
