PBKS vs CSK Probable Playing 11: After securing a victory against CSK in a home-away ground, Punjab Kings is set to host Chennai Super Kings on Sunday clash. Punjab Kings has four victories out of 9 matches they played. They are eyeing victory against CSK on home ground hoping to advance to playoffs.
On the other hand, CSK had a great start in the campaign but failed to continue the momentum as they lost five matches out of 10 games they played in the tournament so far. Securing victories against teams Gujarat Titans, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Mumbai Indians, they suffered defeats in the matches against Lucknow, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Punjab Kings.
“I think our bowlers were superb, the spinners and Jonny striking them well, even the way we paced that chase, it was brilliant. Need to build on that confidence,” said Sam Curran.
“He (Rahane) looked good. It’s the next phase, (to ensure that) his hitting which was so good last year, is more crisp. It’s not for lack of intent. He has doubled up on intent. We’re fine with Jinks and the role he plays,” said Stephen Fleming.
CSK will be eyeing revenge on their defeat in their previous encounter with Punjab. Currently, CSK is in 5th position while PBKS has secured 8th position of the IPL 2024 points table.
