IPL Mid-Season Transfer
For the first time in IPL history Mid-Season Transfer has been introduced in the 13th edition of IPL which allows to transfer, even the capped players. The Mid-Season Transfer is a method that allows the IPL franchise to pick the players across different teams to play the remaining matches for them.
After Match 28 between KKR and RCB, all eight teams have now played seven games. Which paves the way for the Mid-Season Transfer.
Mid-Season Transfers: Players Eligibility
Only those players who have played two or fewer games are eligible to be picked. On the contrary, if a player has featured in more than two games, the player will not be eligible. Also, there has to be mutual consent between the franchise and the player as well.
The final decision remains with the franchise. They need to identify players they want to keep/release. This arrangement is available only for the remainder of the season and the loanee returns to his parent team next season.
