MI vs CSK Probable Playing 11: After securing two victories out of five matches they played in the season, Mumbai Indians will be hosting Chennai Super Kings at Mumbai Stadium.
Despite having a poor start with three back-to-back defeats at the start of the IPL 2024 campaign, Mumbai secured two victories against Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Mumbai suffered defeat in the matches against Gujarat Titans, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Rajasthan Royals.
Meanwhile, Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Chennai Super Kings had a successful start by winning two out of two matches by the start of the season but suffered defeat at the hands of Delhi Capitals and Sunrrisers Hyderabad. But they returned to running ways by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders on April 19.
“Every batsman thinks that an off-spinner is there to hit. As a batsman, even I think so when I face an off-spinner. I think there is a chance for two sixes. When I am bowling, I think as a batsman to survive.”
“If the conditions are bad, not much would be in my hands. In that case, I attack the batsman and try to take the wicket. To survive, I try yorkers, wide yorkers, or bowl slow. I try my best to survive those six balls,” said Mohammad Nabi.
“So not by design, but more through results, it’s worked out to a couple of successful franchises that have had opportunities to push ahead of the others.“
“But look, in saying that every time you play a team these days, it feels like a massive rivalry or a massive game. So we try to keep things reasonably simple and part of the process of this game is to keep emotions down and just enjoy the occasion for what it is,” said CSK coach Stephen Fleming.
Currently, Chennai Super Kings are positioned in third place while Mumbai Indians secured seventh position in the 7th position of the IPL 2024 points table.
