MI Captain in IPL 2025: Under Hardik Pandya, Mumbai Indians had a dreadful outing last season as they ended up in the bottom spot in last year’s points table. Despite ending up in the last spot in the previous season, the Mumbai-based franchise decided to retain their captain – Hardik Pandya.

In last season, under Hardik Pandy’s captaincy, Mumbai Indians managed to register only four victories out of 14 games and were knocked out of the season before playoffs.
With a mega auction for the 2025 season, Mumbai Indians were expected to revamp their squad. Still, surprisingly, the Mumbai-based franchise retained their core players and named Hardik as their captain for the upcoming season.

IPL 2025 Mega Auction
BCCI planned to host the IPL 2025 mega auction on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Ahead of the auction, all teams have revealed their retained players list. The two-day Mega Auction will commence at 12:30 PM local time on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
According to the new IPL 2025 retention rules released by BCCI, each team can retain six players from their existing squad, either via retention or by using the Right to Match (RTM) option.
Though this year’s auction was planned to be hosted outside India, fans can still enjoy the IPL 2025 auction live streaming from their home.
