We will bowl first. Just want to chase, like to see a target on the board, and pace our innings accordingly. We have seen that in the last 3-4 games, hopefully, the dew factor favours us in the second innings.

Winning gives a lot of confidence to the group, you see a lot more people smiling, it makes them keep performing better and better. The mood in the camp has always been good but obviously getting a few wins under the belt helps as well.

The back-room staff has been phenomenal right from even the tournament started. No changes to our team.

    Eoin Morgan | KKR Skipper

We would have bowled as well, pretty much for the same reasons. There’s a bit of dew. We produced our best performance against DC, played the way we wanted to play.

Our fate is still in our hands, that’s good. We have depended a lot on match-ups, it works at times, it doesn’t at times. Andre Russell is unfortunately still not fit, so the same team.

    Chris Gayle | KXIP

I have been doing some off the field training with the trainer when I wasn’t playing. I am feeling good, hitting the gym (laughs). You have that good feeling about yourself and about the team, capitalizing on it as much as possible. We are happy now, but still a long way to go. It was important to assess the conditions as quickly as possible.

They had two very good spinners, it was about making the adjustment as quickly as possible. Once you get the first boundary going, I was always going to get into the zone. Tried to hit as straight as possible and it paid off for me today which was very good and it eased the pressure off Mandeep. He batted superbly and it was a great partnership.

Sunil has got me out so many times. He’s the best spinner in the world. When you get Sunil Narine on a pitch where it’s not turning that much, you got to make the best use of it and that’s what I did today. I could actually take chances off him because the wicket wasn’t suitable for him. I cashed in on that.

The last game, we told that we wanted to win it for him (Mandeep). It’s so beautiful for him to stand out today, look up to the sky, his dad his watching him, really happy for him. And my dad, I love you too. We needed some sort of momentum to get that will power and the feeling that we can do it.

Today the coach asked the senior players to step up and win games for the team. Glad that myself and Mandeep put our hands up. The youngsters in the team are saying ‘Don’t retire.’ That was Mandeep.
