    MS Dhoni | CSK skipper

We’re batting first. Yes, for a change. Last few games we wanted to bat first, but never got the opportunity. The thing with stats is that you can get it any way you want to. It’s a process and it’s quicker if the guys buy into it, and follow the process.

As I said, each game will have new problems. Today it will be about how we counter the shorter boundary one on the side. Cricket is very close to life and it doesn’t always go the way you want. It teaches you what you want to follow as a process.

2010 ended on a happy note but we can’t just rely on that. One change – Chawla in for Jagadeesan. We thought about him (Tahir) but the combination isn’t letting us.

    David Warner | SRH skipper

Yes, that’s probably how everybody is going around these days. Interested to see how the wicket is going to play. There is a bigger boundary on one side and needs to make the batters play there.

The easiest thing to do is to forget about it (the previous loss). I’m really enjoying it (captaincy) and having Kane also helps. Really enjoyed the group that we have. One change – Nadeem in for Abhishek Sharma.

    Chennai Super Kings(CSK) Batting

An unexpected move from CSK as they changed the opening duo. Faf du Plessis and Sam Curran get in to lead CSK. CSK skipper MS Dhoni in the previous match hints that they would seek for big shots from the very beginning of the innings. Which may lead to introduce Sam in the opening.

The young gun of CSK shows an impressive start by making massive shots though his opening partner Faf departs without scoring any. With back to back boundaries and sixes, Sam Curran scored 31 runs from 21 deliveries and dismissed by Sandeep Sharma.

Rayudu and Watson join hands and lead CSK. The duo makes an impressive and much-needed partnership and pumps CSK score beyond 100. Finally, Khaleel makes the breakthrough by dismissing Rayudu while scoring 41 runs. Watto too got dismissed off the very next over after scoring 42 runs.

The famous duo of CSK gets in to the crease. Yes! it’s Dhoni and Jaddu on the crease. Soon MSD departs after striking a couple of boundaries along with a massive six. T Natarajan took his dream wicket by dismissing MSD while scoring 21 runs.

Still, Jaddu is in the strike which means there is still a chance for some boundaries. With a boundary and six of the final delivery, CSK scored 167 runs for 6 wicket loss.

    Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) Batting

David Warner and Bairstow gets in to lead SRH to chase down the target of 168 runs. CSK followed a different strategy in bowling. This helps Sam Curran to dismiss the dangerous batsman Warner for just 9 runs.

Manish Pandey gets in to the crease and makes a boundary of the first delivery. While trying to run between wickets Bravo dismissed Manish by a direct throw. It’s Bravo who threw the ball towards the stump before the umpire’s confirmation Manish starts to walk towards Pavillion after scoring 4 runs.

Two wickets within the powerplay make a comfortable position for CSK in terms of bowling. SRH is in need to build a much-needed partnership as CSK did after the powerplay. Kane Williamson starts to make a steady strike which threatens CSK bowlers. Though Kane stands strong for a while CSK bowlers dismissed his partners and avoid building the partnership.

Finally, Karn Sharma took the dangerous man wicket while scoring 57 runs. If Kane stands still the last over there could be a greater chance for SRH victory. CSK bowlers are very focused to not let SRH to massive runs in the death overs.

Rashid who seems to be the game-changer dismissed by hit-wicket after striking a boundary and six. Bravo makes an impressive final over where SRH scored only one run from it. Finally CSK bags their third victory of the tournament by beating SRH by 20 runs.

    Man of the Match

Ravindra Jadeja | CSK: Very happy to contribute with both bat and ball. I was backing myself and I was only looking to see the ball and hit the ball without pre-planning. The wicket looks on the slower side so I was just looking to bowl into the stumps rather than give them room.

It is a difficult wicket for batsmen. I take great pleasure in my fielding, and whenever I field, I always look for a good run-out or a catch for the team.
