Lucknow Super Giants have named Arpit Guleria as the replacement player for Mayank Yadav in the ongoing IPL 2023.

LSG bought the Delhi youngster – Mayank Yadav for INR 20 Lakh ahead of the last IPL season. While he has just played 7 List A games and 16 wickets to his name, he is yet to make his IPL debut.
It is a like-for-like replacement for Lucknow Super Giants but the IPL statement did not clarify what exactly the injury was.
Arpit Guleria made his first-class debut for Himachal Pradesh in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy on 28 November 2018. He made his List A debut on 13 October 2019, for Himachal Pradesh in the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Regarding the announcement, the IPL official statement reads “Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Saturday named Arpit Guleria as a replacement for the injured Mayank Yadav for the remainder of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023”.
Arpit made his debut in domestic cricket for Himachal Pradesh and currently plays for Services. He has played 15 First-Class matches and 12 List-A games and has scalped 44 and 11 wickets respectively from the same.
Arpit Guleria will join Lucknow Super Giants for INR 20 Lakh. KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants currently holds the 2nd spot in the IPL 2023 Points Table just below the Rajasthan Royals who also secures the same points as LSG. But with a higher run rate, RR moved a position ahead of the LSG.
LSG played their first match of the season against Delhi Capitals and won the match by 50 runs. While everyone expects them to maintain the momentum, they faced a 12 runs defeat against Chennai Super Kings.
But LSG made a strong comeback by winning their next 2 matches against SRH and RCB. Lucknow Super Giants will face Punjab Kings today at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium to play their 5th league match of the IPL 2023.
