Star Sports to broadcast live coverage of IPL – Indian Premier League 2022 in India and its subcontinent (Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, and Nepal) countries; all matches streamed live in India and its subcontinent on Disney + Hotstar digital platform (Website, App) with a premium subscription – Monthly and Annually.
Star India has bagged IPL media rights for a massive amount of INR 16,347.50 crores for a period of five years (2018-2022), they acquired TV and OTT (Audio, Video, and other media services via the internet) rights. Disney + Hotstar VIP has tied up with Jio and Airtel. Jio and Airtel are offering exciting prepaid recharge plans bundled with a 12-month subscription of Disney + Hotstar VIP.
Star India win five-year global media rights of IPL – Indian Premier League till 2022. The ‘global media rights’ include Indian television, digital as well as overseas broadcast and digital media rights.
The global television and digital media rights, except the Indian sub-continent, have been clubbed together and will be available for five years. “The rest of world” is grouped into different territories – for each of them, television and digital rights are clubbed together.
Sky Sports Cricket
Sky Sports Cricket has become the home of the Indian Premier League 2022 in the UK and Ireland. All matches of the 2022 IPL will be shown live on Sky Sports after the company acquired the UK and Ireland TV broadcast rights for the tournament for the next three years.
UK viewers will be able to watch all matches exclusively live on Sky Sports Cricket and Sky Sports Main Event. Star India announced that Disney + Hotstar now officially available in the United Kingdom and the United States of America, and 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL T20) matches streamed online on the digital platform for viewers in the UK and USA.
IPL 2022 will be available to subscribers in the two countries via Disney + Hotstar with a subscription fee in two tiers – annually and monthly.

Cricket viewers in the United States can watch Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) live coverage on Willow TV Channel, and SuperSport will telecast live coverage of Indian Premier League 2022 (IPL 15) in Sub-Saharan Africa.

IPL 2022 Schedule
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule on March 6 for TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 which will be held in Mumbai and Pune. A total number of 70 league matches and 4 Playoff games will be played in the duration of 65 days.
The 15th season will start on 26th March at the Wankhede stadium with a blockbuster clash between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
The final game of the league stage will be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings on 22nd May at the Wankhede Stadium.
The schedule for the Playoffs and the TATA IPL 2022 final to be played on 29th May will be announced later.
