Jadeja vs Dhoni: Ravindra Jadeja who was once portrayed as a die-hard follower of MS Dhoni has faced many downs in his IPL career. Many framed a story as CSK and Jadeja had a clash which later turned into as Jadeja vs Dhoni clash.

In IPL 2022, MS Dhoni stepped down as the captain of the CSK where the Chennai-based franchise named Ravindra Jadeja as the new captain of the team. Owing to his inconsistency, R Jadeja was stripped of the role and MS Dhoni was renamed as the captain for the remaining season.
During his captaincy stint, Jadeja captained 8 games and managed to win only 2 out of them.
Though the duo stayed under one roof(CSK) in IPL, fans use to find a root and start a social media debate between them. Neither MS Dhoni nor Jadeja has never spoken a word regarding this.

Right after Jadeja posted this tweet many fans states that he had a silent rivalry with CSK and suggest him to move from his current IPL team to a new team.

Fans Pray To see MSD and will wait for me to get out – Jadeja
Apart from the fan’s controversial stories, Jadeja’s move also comes under the radar as if there was really a clash between him and the CSK.
In a post-match presentation, Jadeja said, “If I come to bat early they all chants ‘Mahi Mahi’ and pray to see MS Dhoni, they all will wait for me to get out(laughs)”. Though Jadeja said with a smile many were not satisfied.
For this, a Twitter user wrote “Jaddu saying this with a smile but lot of pain inside… Believe me it’s a trauma! Imagine your own team spectators not supporting you waiting for your wicket! Still criticizing you even after winning 3 man of the matches!”.
Though fan theory is not a new thing in social media, one noticeable thing regarding this post is Ravindra Jadeja himself liked the post and later undid it.
MS Dhoni Praises Jadeja
Though fans made theories regarding Jadeja vs Dhoni, they both never fail to praise each other whenever an opportunity arises.
In the IPL 2023 Qualifier 1 game against Gujarat Titans, CSK won the game by 15 runs and qualified for the final. Jadeja played a crucial role in the victory by bagging 2 wickets an economy of 4.50 and also contributed 22 runs with the bat.
Regarding his performance, MS Dhoni in the post-match presentation said “If Jaddu gets conditions that help him. he’s very difficult to hit. His bowling changed the game. Not to forget his partnership with Moeen”.
Jadeja Dedicated the IPL 2023 victory For MS Dhoni
In the final game, CSK faced Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad. Winning the toss CSK decides to bowl first and Gujarat scored 214 runs at the end of 20 overs. The match has been reduced to 15 overs after rain interrupted and CSK were given a target of 171 to win their 5th IPL trophy.
At one stage CSK were in need of 13 runs off the final over where Jadeja and Dube were at the crease. While the score looks achievable with two power hitters, GT’s Mohit Sharma made it hard by bowling 4 back to back Yorkers.
With 10 required off the last 2 balls, Jadeja struck a six and four and led CSK to a dramatic win. Jadeja starts to run all around the stadium and at one point reached CSK dug out where MSD was present.
At the very next moment when MSD saw Jadeja, he lift him in joy and stuns everyone. Usually, MS Dhoni who is known for his calm character never celebrates any victory but this title stands exceptional.

When Jadeja was approached by one of the presenters, Jadeja said “Want to dedicate this win to one of the special members of our team – MS Dhoni”. Eventually, MS Dhoni walks along with Jadeja and Ambathi Rayudu to receive the trophy.
These moments just cleared the air and made it loud and clear that there is no spat between Jadeja and MS Dhoni.
