Since its inception in 2008, a lot of opening pairs have held the title of the highest opening partnership in IPL. The record has been constantly broken and a new benchmark of opening partnerships in T20 has been set each time.
The current record of IPL’s highest opening partnership belongs to KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock. In Lucknow Super Giants’ maiden IPL season, the opening batters made an unbelievable partnership of 210 runs.
Notably, de Kock scored his second IPL century and remains unbeaten for 140 runs. On the other hand, LSG captain KL Rahul scored 68 runs which led LSG to create a record in their maiden season.
