The Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings clash is one of the most expected matches of every IPL season. Apart from Rohit vs MS Dhoni, one of the main reasons behind this is the “trophies war”.
Mumbai Indians won a total of 5 IPL trophies while CSK stands behind with 4 trophies. So far CSK and MI have faced each other in the final four times out of which Mumbai won 3 times. CSK’s only victory against Mumbai in the final came out in 2010 when CSK won their first title.
It is worth mentioning, Mumbai Indians have the highest win-loss ratio against Chennai Super Kings (58.82%) for all teams who have played a minimum of 5 matches.
Over the years, Mumbai Indians have had worse beginnings – five back-to-back defeats in 2014, five losses in six games in the next season (which they won) and the same again in 2018. Apart from these, Mumbai had eight consecutive losses upfront last year.

So it is just about keeping composure, we will have some support as well, because, I mean, it is the yellow army, so everywhere we go, people follow. “The Camp is good, very positive. And after the last game, definitely grew in confidence. But having said that put that game behind us and we look forward to the El Classico. It is going to be a tough game. It is always a challenge whenever you come here at the Wankhede but I think the last game will definitely give the group a lot of confidence,” he added.

“The Focus is to finish off the game with a ball, try to use the dimensions of the field. It was good to see the two young bowlers stepping up and executing under pressure in a high-scoring game. They will definitely be under pressure at some point of time,” he concluded
The El Classico will return on May 6 where Chennai Super Kings will face Mumbai Indians in their home turf – MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
