DC Playoff Chances 2024: Delhi Capitals are one of the many teams to remain alive in the IPL 2024 playoffs race with a match left to play. Though Delhi Capitals manage to win their last league game, their Net Run Rate remains a burden for them in the playoff race.
Delhi Capitals have one more match left, against Lucknow Super Giants, and it’s a home match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, on May 14, 2024. Delhi Capitals need to win their final league game of the season and also have to depend on other teams’ results to go in their favour.
Apart from teams’ results, their net run rate will also be a crucial matter for Delhi Capitals to stay alive in the IPL 2024 playoffs race.
- DC’s best chance lies in SRH suffering significant defeats in their final two matches, CSK emerging victorious against RCB, and LSG winning no more than one game while maintaining a run rate below that of DC.
- With their dependence on so many difficult and complicated permutations, combinations, and calculations, their chances look slim.
With an outstanding form, it is far more difficult for Sunrises Hyderabad to lose their remaining two home matches. On the other hand, RCB will put all their effort into winning their final league game to strengthen their playoff chances.
With all possibilities rising against the Delhi Capitals, some miracles need to happen for the Capitals to seal their playoff spot.
Rishbah Pant who missed Delhi’s previous clash against RCB will make his return to the final league game and will lead the side. BCCI banned Rishabh Pant for one match for maintaining a slow overrate and fined INR 30 Lakh for his team’s slow over-rate in the game against Rajasthan Royals on May 7.
In the absence of Rishabh Pant, DC named Axar Patel as their captain for the crucial match against RCB which they lost by 47 runs.
Delhi Capitals will play their next and final league game of the IPL 2024 against Lucknow Super Giants on May 14 in Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.
