Raina is now all set to join MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) training camp in UAE. The Yellow Army had a forgettable season in 2020 – where they failed to reach the playoffs for the first time in the tournament’s history since the first season in 2008.

While Raina had reached Dubai with the rest of the team, he had pulled out at the last moment citing personal reasons.
Raina has featured in 193 IPL matches and is also the leading run-scorer for CSK. The southpaw has so far scored 5,388 runs that include 38 fifties and a hundred as well.
However, he didn’t feature in the previous edition of the IPL held in the UAE. He decided to pull out of the tournament days after he joined the team in the bio-bubble in Dubai.
CSK Moves to Mumbai
CSK CEO said its time to shift the base and get used to the conditions before the season begins. “We will definitely shift now. We are scheduled to leave for Mumbai by March 26,” CSK CEO told InsideSport.
Ahead of IPL 2021, CSK decided to release Harbhajan Singh – who had also missed the last season due to personal reasons. Raina, who remains to be the franchise’s highest run-getter, was retained for the upcoming season. While CSK had already kicked off their training camp, Raina has also been rigorously preparing for the upcoming season.
