The Sunrisers Hyderabad made their Indian Premier League debut in 2012 after the IPL terminated the Hyderabad-based Deccan Chargers.
SRH won their maiden title in 2016 under David Warner’s captaincy and is still waiting to lift their second title. Sunrisers Hyderabad ended up as runner-up of the last season after losing the final against KKR in M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
Following a dreadful outing in the 2023 edition, SRH has undergone a massive revamp for the Indian Premier League(IPL) 2024 season. Following an impressive performance last season, SRH is unlikely to shuffle their support staff unit for the IPL 2025 season.

IPL 2025 SRH Head Coach
Former New Zealand cricketer Daniel Vettori is the head coach of the SRH for the IPL 2025 season. Daniel Vettori replaced Brain Lara as SRH Head Coach ahead of the start of the 2024 season.
Daniel Vettori started his coaching career in 2014 when he was appointed as the head coach of RCB in 2014. Vettori remained in the position till 2018 before being replaced by Gary Kirsten.
Before joining SRH in 2023, he worked with multiple national and domestic teams. He was appointed as a spin bowling coach for the Bangladesh national side in 2019. In August 2019, Vettori was appointed as the head coach of the CPL franchise Barbados Royals,
In May 2022, Vettori joined the Australian men’s national team as an assistant coach. In 2023, he was appointed as the head coach of SRH.
IPL 2025 SRH Batting Coach
Former Indian cricketer Hemang Badani is the batting coach of SRH for the IPL 2025 season.
Initially, SRH named Hemang Badani as their fielding coach and the scout for the IPL 2022 season, the same year when Brain Lara and Dale Steyn were onboarded as batting and bowling coaches respectively.
Ahead of IPL 2023, SRH named Ryan Cook as the team’s fielding coach and handed the batting coach role to Hemang Badani.
He also served as the head coach for Chepauk Super Gillies in the Tamil Nadu Premier League(TNPL) since its inception in 2016. Hemang coached the Super Gillies for seven seasons winning the title on four occasions. He also served as a consultant for Jaffna Kings in the Lanka Premier League.
IPL 2025 SRH Bowling Coach
Former New Zealand cricketer James Franklin is SRH’s fast bowling coach while former Sri Lankan legendary spinner Muttiah Muralitharan is the team’s spin bowling coach.
Following his IPL retirement in 2014, Muralitharan was roped in as the bowling coach and mentor of the Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2015. His IPL 2025 appearance will mark his 10th anniversary with the Hyderabad-based franchise.

Who is the Head Coach of SRH?
