RR Released And Retained Players 2025: The Indian Premier League’s inaugural edition title winner Rajasthan Royals still struggles to lift their second title despite displaying many notable performances.
Rajasthan Royals is one of the eight teams that made their debut in the first edition of the Indian Premier League in 2008.
RR’s second-best came in the 2022 edition when they finished runner-up of the season. Ahead of the IPL 2025 season, Rajasthan Royals made a change in their coaching set-up by naming a full-time head coach.
RR is expected to maintain their core setup for the next season and will make use of the BCCI’s six-player retention policy to build their new squad.
Though the exact date for the IPL 2025 mega auction has not yet been revealed, the event is expected to be held in the 3rd or 4th week of November 2024 in UAE or London.
RR Released And Retained Players 2025 (Probable)
According to the new IPL 2025 retention rules released by BCCI, each team can retain six players from their existing squad, either via retention or by using the Right to Match (RTM) option.
As per the report, the teams must announce their final retention list by 5 PM IST on October 31.
Rajasthan Royals who played their last season without a full-time head coach have roped in former Indian cricketer and head coach Rahul Dravid as their head coach for the IPL 2025 season.
Notably, Rahul Dravid played and captained the Royals franchise between 2011 and 2013 before being the mentor of the team for the 2014 season.
According to the IPL committee rules, each franchise can have 25 players in their squad, out of which a maximum of 8 can be foreign players. In Playing 11, each team can have a maximum of 4 overseas players in the mix.

Rajasthan Royals Owner, Home Venue
The Rajasthan Royals is owned by Manoj Badale and The Royals Sports Group. Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur which has a ground capacity of 24,000 will be the primary home venue for the Rajasthan Royals while the ACA Stadium in Guwahati will be the secondary home venue for the Royals.

IPL 2025 Auction Date
The 2025 mega auction is expected to be held in the 3rd or 4th week of November 2024 in UAE or London. The 2025 mega auction will be a more than-a-day event, unlike the mini auctions which will be hosted in a day.

IPL 2025 Teams Purse Value
Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, BCCI increases the purse value of each team by INR 20 crores over the existing purse value of about INR 100 crores.
The final purse value of the team will be decided right after they submit the retained and released players list for the event. Rajasthan Royals Purse Value Before Auction will be 120 Crore without announcing retention and releasing players list.
