RR Retained Players 2025: The Indian Premier League’s inaugural edition title winner Rajasthan Royals still struggles to lift their second title despite displaying many notable performances.
Rajasthan Royals is one of the eight teams that made their debut in the first edition of the Indian Premier League in 2008.
RR’s second-best came in the 2022 edition when they finished runner-up of the season. Ahead of the IPL 2025 season, Rajasthan Royals made a change in their coaching set-up by naming a full-time head coach.

RR Retained Players 2025 with Released
According to the new IPL 2025 retention rules released by BCCI, each team can retain six players from their existing squad, either via retention or by using the Right to Match (RTM) option.
BCCI planned to host the IPL 2025 mega auction on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia while teams announced their retained players list on 31 October 2024.
Though this year’s auction was planned to be hosted outside India, fans can still enjoy the IPL 2025 auction live streaming from their home.
Rajasthan Royals who played their last season without a full-time head coach have roped in former Indian cricketer and head coach Rahul Dravid as their head coach for the IPL 2025 season.
Notably, Rahul Dravid played and captained the Royals franchise between 2011 and 2013 before being the mentor of the team for the 2014 season.

Rajasthan Royals Owner, Home Venue
The Rajasthan Royals is owned by Manoj Badale and The Royals Sports Group. Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur which has a ground capacity of 24,000 will be the primary home venue for the Rajasthan Royals while the ACA Stadium in Guwahati will be the secondary home venue for the Royals.

IPL 2025 Auction Date
With the deadline for submitting the retention players list ending by October 31, BCCI planned to hold the IPL 2025 mega auctions on November 24 and 25.
IPL 2025 Auction Venue
The two-day event of the IPL 2025 mega auction will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
IPL 2025 Teams Purse Value
Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, BCCI increases the purse value of each team by INR 20 crores over the existing purse value of about INR 100 crores.
The final purse value of the team will be decided right after they submit the retained and released players list for the event. Rajasthan Royals Purse Value Before Auction will be 55 Crore without announcing retention and releasing players list.
