LSG Retained Players 2025: Lucknow Super Giants is one of the two new teams to make their debut in the 2022 edition. Unlike their co-debutant Gujarat Titans, LSG hasn’t won any IPL trophies so far.
In their first two appearances, the Lucknow-based franchise qualified for the playoffs while in the last season, the team failed to do so. In the last IPL season, under KL Rahul’s captaincy, Lucknow Super Giants finished 7th in the points table and failed to advance to the playoffs round.

- West Indies Wicketkeeper Batter Nicholas Pooran is set to be the franchise’s primary retention, commanding a price of Rs 18 crore. Although the franchise can pay more or less, a report states that Pooran will have a salary of Rs 18 crore.

LSG Retained Players 2025 with Released
BCCI planned to host the IPL 2025 mega auction on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia while teams announced their retained players list on 31 October 2024.
Though this year’s auction was planned to be hosted outside India, fans can still enjoy the IPL 2025 auction live streaming from their home.
According to the new IPL 2025 retention rules released by BCCI, each team can retain six players from their existing squad, either via retention or by using the Right to Match (RTM) option.
LSG chairman Sanjiv Goenka faced massive criticism during the IPL 2024 season for having a heated argument with KL Rahul after LSG’s defeat against SRH. Though the incident raised rumours of LSG parting ways with KL Rahul, there were no official announcements regarding KL Rahul’s future at LSG.

IPL 2025 Auction Date
With the deadline for submitting the retention players list ending by October 31, BCCI planned to hold the IPL 2025 mega auctions on November 24 and 25.
IPL 2025 Auction Venue
The two-day event of the IPL 2025 mega auction will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
IPL 2025 Teams Purse Value
Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, BCCI increases the purse value of each team by INR 20 crores over the existing purse value of about INR 100 crores.
The final purse value of the team will be decided right after they submit the retained and released players list for the event. Lucknow Super Giants Purse Value Before Auction will be 69 Crore without announcing retention and releasing players list.
