Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) won their third title in the Indian Premier League(IPL) by beating Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) in the IPL 2024 final in Chennai.
With their third title, KKR became the first team to win the IPL title under different captains (2012 and 2014 under Gautam Gambhir and 2024 under Shreyas Iyer). Following a successful campaign, KKR will miss a few of their support staff unit in IPL 2025.
As Gautam Gambhir was named as the head coach of the Indian Men’s cricket team, KKR will miss the service of the former skipper for the IPL 2025 season. Along with Gambhir, KKR will also miss Abhishek Nayar and Ryan ten Doeschate who were also the members of KKR support staff unit last year.

IPL 2025 KKR Head Coach
Former Indian Cricket Chandrakant Pandit is the head coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) for the IPL 2025 season. Chandrakant was roped as KKR head coach in 2022 where he guided the team to win their third IPL trophy in 2024 after 10 years.
The Maharashtra-born played five tests and 26 ODIs for team India between 1986-1992 and scored 171 and 290 runs. He was part of India’s World Cup squad for the 1987 World Cup and remained a part of the Indian squad which won the 1988 Asia Cup.
IPL 2025 KKR Bowling Coach
Bharat Arun is the KKR’s bowling coach for IPL 2025 while Carl Crowe remains the Spin Bowling Coach for the team.
On 14 January 2022, Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) named Bharat Arun as their bowling coach while he remained an integral part of the team which won the IPL 2024 title.
Bharat Arun announced his retirement from first-class cricket in November 1993 and joined as the bowling coach of the Indian national team in 2014 and played a key role in helping Team India scale new heights.
Bharat started his coaching career with the Tamil Nadu domestic team and became the chief bowling coach at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. He then took over as head coach of the India Under-19 squad when India won the U19 World Cup in 2012, in Australia.
