GT Retained Players 2025: Gujarat Titans who won their first title in their debut season faced a drastic downfall last season. Shubman Gill and Co. managed to register only five victories in the league stage and ended up in the eighth spot in last year’s points table.
The franchise faced a dip in their performance last season after they traded their captain Hardik Pandya to the Mumbai Indians for INR 15 crore.
Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, CVC captains sold a 64% stake in the Gujarat Titans to Torrent Group, making them the majority stakeholder of the franchise.
GT Retained Players 2025 with Released
BCCI planned to host the IPL 2025 mega auction on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia while teams announced their retained players list on 31 October 2024.
Though this year’s auction was planned to be hosted outside India, fans can still enjoy the IPL 2025 auction live streaming from their home.
According to the new IPL 2025 retention rules released by BCCI, each team can retain six players from their existing squad, either via retention or by using the Right to Match (RTM) option.
Gujarat Titans played their last season without their key pacer Mohammed Shami who was ruled out of the entire season with an ankle injury. GT will not dare to release him but at the same time, the franchise will keep an eye on his recovery progress and will auction a player who could replace him in case of his unavailability.

IPL 2025 Auction Date
With the deadline for submitting the retention players list ending by October 31, BCCI planned to hold the IPL 2025 mega auctions on November 24 and 25.

The two-day event of the IPL 2025 mega auction will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
IPL 2025 Teams Purse Value
Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, BCCI increases the purse value of each team by INR 20 crores over the existing purse value of about INR 100 crores.
The final purse value of the team will be decided right after they submit the retained and released players list for the event. Gujarat Titans Purse Value Before Auction will be 66 Crore without announcing retention and releasing players list.
