DC Retained Players 2025: Delhi Capitals is one of the eight teams to debut in the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League 2008. DC is one of the few teams who still awaits to lift their maiden title in the Indian Premier League.
With the return of Rishabh Pant last season, DC was expected to execute an outstanding performance but failed abruptly and ended up in the sixth spot in the points table.

- Hemang Badani was appointed as head coach of Delhi Capitals for the next two seasons.
- Venugopal Rao replaced Sourav Ganguly as the Director of Cricket for the Delhi Capitals for the IPL 2025 season.
- Former Indian cricketer Munaf Patel is likely to be named as the bowling coach of DC.
DC Retained Players 2025 with Released
BCCI planned to host the IPL 2025 mega auction on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia while teams announced their retained players list on 31 October 2024.
Though this year’s auction was planned to be hosted outside India, fans can still enjoy the IPL 2025 auction live streaming from their home.
The teams should announce their players’ retention as per the new IPL 2025 retention rules released by BCCI.
With seven victories in the last season, DC failed to advance to the playoffs round. Delhi Capitals’ best came out in the 2020 edition when they ended up as runner-up of the season.
As a first step of the preparation, Delhi Capitals removed Ricky Ponting as their head coach and confirmed to retain Rishabh Pant ahead of the auction.
According to the IPL committee rules, each franchise can have 25 players in their squad, out of which a maximum of 8 can be foreign players. In Playing 11, each team can have a maximum of 4 overseas players in the mix.

Delhi Capitals Owner, Home Venue

IPL 2025 Auction Date
With the deadline for submitting the retention players list ending by October 31, BCCI planned to hold the IPL 2025 mega auctions on November 24 and 25.

The two-day event of the IPL 2025 mega auction will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
IPL 2025 Delhi Capitals Purse Value
Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, BCCI increases the purse value of each team by INR 20 crores over the existing purse value of about INR 100 crores.
The final purse value of the team will be decided right after they submit the retained and released players list for the event. Delhi Capitals Purse Value Before Auction will be 120 Crore without announcing retention and releasing players list.
