IPL 2023 MI Squad: Mumbai Indians – one of the most successful teams in the Indian Premier League won the IPL title 5 times during the 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020 seasons.
It is worth mentioning that Mumbai Indians remain the most successful team in terms of winning titles. Mumbai Indians became the first team to win the IPL title for the fifth time, by beating Delhi Capitals by 5 wickets in the IPL 2020 Final.
Mumbai Indians are currently captained by Rohit Sharma. Mahela Jayawardene was appointed as head coach of Mumbai Indians before the 2017 season. Rohit Sharma is the leading run-scorer of the team while Lasith Malinga remains the leading wicket-taker of the team.
The motto of the team is “Duniya Hila Denge Hum…”, which translates to “We will rock the world”. The team logo is the Sudarshan Chakra (or Razor) as initially the name of the team was supposed to be “Mumbai Razors” before Sachin Tendulkar suggested changing it to Mumbai Indians

IPL 2023 Auction Rules
As BCCI decides to host IPL 2023 mini auction, franchises have the advantage of retaining the majority of their players compared to the IPL 2022 mega auction.
- No franchise will be allowed to buy a player beyond their purse balance.
- Each team has to spend at least 75% of their total amount.
- The option of the Right to Match (RTM) card will not be available to franchise.
- The number of players in each team should not exceed 25 while each squad should have a minimum of 18 players.
- Each franchise can have a maximum of 25 Indian players and a minimum of 17 Indian players. Similarly, each franchise can have a maximum of 8 international players in the squad but there’s no capping on the lower limit.
